The old coal mine of Couriot is a specific and important industrial site in the West part of St Etienne city. A park public is about to be created among the traces of this old industrial site. It is composed of different outside equipment, a museum and a didactic path illustrating the coal story.
The museum and the collections occur in the old boiler room, about 1200 m² and in others buildings.
The set design illustrate this coal mine’s history, the evolution of miners status and their lives. Also six centuries of coal adventure are presented through models, films and graphic displays.
